"If you can write when no one is listening and continue to do so for months, you can be a blogger. If your voice is unique enough, the audience will come - it just takes a minute." --JC of THE NATURAL HAVEN*crosses le fingers*
Inside the mind of a kind of quirky, pretty stubborn, way too opinionated, twenty-something, heteroflexible Black female newly employed up-and-moved-to-DC Princeton GRADUATE who's just trying to sort out her life. An uninhibited celebration of all that is me, this blog is an exercise in self-discovery and live-with-your-heart-wide-open-ness. Though I make respect a habit, I will not always be politically correct, and I believe in the power of making audiences uncomfortable to inspire change.

You know those bloggers you wish you could be friends with in real life?
Oh, does everyone not have those? Am I strange? Oh well. Honorée Fanonne Jeffers over at PhyllisRemastered is someone I would love to have the privilege of knowing in real life, because her humor is exactly my style. She says things I wish had come out of my own mouth. For example:
"I contain multitudes like Whitman, y'all. Don't sleep on me."
